ABOUT MATT COYLE: Matt spent 30 years in sports sales, including national sales for a sports licensing firm. During that time, Matt also managed a restaurant. Today he is the author of the Rick Cahill crime novel series. Over the years, Matt’s writing has earned several awards, including the Foreword Bronze INDIE in the Thriller, Anthony Award for Best First Novel, the San Diego Book Award for Best Mystery, the Ben Franklin Award for Best New Voice in Fiction and the Suspense and the Shamus Award. Additionally, Matt’s writings have earned finalist status for the Macavity and Lefty awards and the Derringer and Macavity Award.

Glenn Interviews the Riveting Creative Laura Poindexter S7 EP11
"Hello Everyone, I’m Laura “TheSoulWriter” Poindexter, a native New Yorker. Manhattan is my borough and Harlem is my TRIBE. My childhood dream to become a creative would be disrupted and put on hold indefinitely. My journey through life would be an unscripted, made for television drama. The opening act would begin with the death of my mother. I was only six years old at the time and it traumatized me far beyond my comprehension. Every subsequent act following my mother’s death would represent my pain, anger and inability to process her untimely passing. These unresolved feelings would show up and disrupt every facet of my life. My downward spiral would begin with me dropping out of highschool, losing my scholarship from the Dance Theater of Harlem (dance was my first love) and eventually become addicted to drugs.
I would painstakingly get my life back on track and return to my community as a force to be reckoned with. As a Health and Human Services Professional, I would dedicate 23 years of my life in assisting people with pushing past their pain. During that time, I had the pleasure of working with Johns Hopkins Center For Social Concern, Drug Court, and the Veteran Administration. I believe my personal experiences gave me an edge and fueled my passion for making a difference in my community.
I found my work to be both fulfilling and rewarding. I had honestly dismissed the notion of becoming a creative. However, in 2010 life showed up again with another bag-a-pain. Within three years, I would lose my husband, career, house, cars, and was quite frankly on the verge of a nervous breakdown..."

Jess lives in Texas where racism is prevalent and the color of her skin also makes her a target of a human trafficking and kidnapping syndicate while she struggles to keep her family's farm from going into foreclosure. Trying to manage her visions and the business is extremely stressful, as she doesn't know which visions are real or just dreams. Does she go to the authorities to report the violence in them or does she remain quiet? Anna Mae believes that divine inspiration guides her visions. In both cases, do they follow the visions or keep them to themselves?

You've suckled with Bukowski, published obscene odes with Ginsberg, went on the Road with Kerouac and broke on through the other side with Morrison. Come .... walk past the edge of Midnight, open those doors wide and step through that portal. And as your eyes see, then the mind becomes a playground, a vast universe, Unique. Free, of the constraints born in preconceived theories, where your voice, will be uncloaked, Heard.
